- 1st Corinthians 16: 22. If any man loves not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema, Maran-atha.
The word anathema (pronounced an-ath'-em-ah) in Greek means, "excommunicate." The word maran-atha means," an exclamation of the approaching divine judgement. The word anathema (pronounced an- ath'-ay-mah) like the above; but in a good sense means, "a votive offering - gift." To be excommunicated means that both parties are separated - one to destruction and the other to eternal life. You are either for or against the Lord (Matthew 12: 30-31), where the word "Hebrew" in Hebrew means, "Ibriy (pronounced ib-ree')" from the word "eber (pronounced ay'-ber)" meaning a region across, on the opposite side.

Verse 16. What's more you are His holy priests; so come to Him - (you who are acceptable to Him because of Jesus Christ) - and offer to God those things that please Him. As the scriptures express it, "See, I am sending Christ to be the carefully chosen, precious Cornerstone of my church, and I will never disappoint those who trust in Him.
